Calibration
An
inter-laboratory comparison may be cumbersome to plan and align amongst other
laboratories. Pt-Gamma can facilitate the direct communication and planning of
an inter-laboratory comparison study between two participating laboratories.
The intercomparison exercised will be organized and planned by Pt-Gamma as a
coordinating body.
In
accordance with ISO/IEC 17043 guidelines, the coordinating body Pt-Gamma will
design the ILC scheme and ensure the following:
- A
documented plan of the ILC scheme comprising of the ILC objectives, purpose,
and requirements
- The
preparation of the test items and assurance of its homogeneity and stability
- The
design of a statistical evaluation program to meet the objectives of the ILC
scheme and the nature of the testing data
- The
distribution of the items and coherent communication between the participants
throughout the ILC program
The ILC
scheme can be arranged for laboratories involved in calibration activities. To
facilitate an ILC scheme, a calibration laboratory must request Pt-Gamma to act
as a coordinating body in the organization, planning, and assessment of an ILC
amongst consenting ILC participants.
To put
in this request, a calibration laboratory must email info@pt-gamma.com and
include the following information:
- Request
for ILC- calibrated analytical instrument
- Submission
of ISO/IEC 17025 certificate and Scope of accreditation
- Nature
of sample(s) to be analyzed
- Specific
measurement range/ target range assigned for post-calibration validation
